Hong Kong is such a gorgeous city to explore. The vibe in Hong Kong is very different than most Asian countries. Parts of Hong Kong feel like you’re in the middle of China while some feel like you’re in NYC.
Most people think of it as just a small island packed with skyscrapers. And though there are a lot of stunning skyscrapers, there is a breathtaking wilderness to explore as well. It’s a mistake to think you only need a weekend in Hong Kong — there’s so much to explore other than the high-end shops and Disneyland that you always see in the media. From monasteries to stunning hikes to swanky rooftop bars, Hong Kong is truly a place for everyone.
Three words I’d use to describe Hong Kong: stunning, surprising, addicting
It was 2012 when I first visited Hong Kong and even if you are just having a short layover, it sure is worth a quick visit. With as little as 10 hours, you can still make your way into Hong Kong for some shopping and sightseeing.
