El Latino: Mexican Food, Strong Cocktails, and Chill Vibes in Mui Ne

After a seemingly endless strange walk along the main street of Mui Ne, we stumbled upon this Mexican restaurant that looked like just what we needed as we sweat under the scorching heat of the sun!

It was past 2 in the afternoon when we made it back to our hostel after a non-stop chase for the perfect sunrise photo over the sand dunes and we already had this new mission to explore more of the area before we head back to Ho Chi Minh. First, there was literally no one in the restaurant that will leave you wanting to go in and chill like a boss. Then there was this soft Mexican music playing in the background and a board saying “Happy Hour from 8AM-10PM”.

Yalla! Off we go, ladies!

FOOD

While the menu purely offers Mexican food, you may wish to drop by in the morning and get some of their American breakfast meals.

For starters, go for the sensational tacos plate as you begin to enjoy their cold cocktails. For mains, go for Quesadillas if you want to complete the excellent journey and have that wow factor on the palate. Their beef empanadas (beef, onions and more stuffed in a fresh pastry) which I finished in no time can’t easily be duplicated — a real champ here.

If you’re in the mood to feel even heavier, try one from a long list of their pizzas and end your meal with a brownie with hot chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream on top. GLORIOUS!

DRINKS

The menu is practically a guidebook, but their cocktails should be a priority. I strongly recommend their fajitas for one amazing night!

There ain’t no party like a Latino party so drop by in the evening and check out the happenings ‘cause a Latino party doesn’t stop!

AMBIANCE

Mexican vibes at its best. The interior is just the place to enjoy a relaxing lunch or siesta. The interplay of colorful touches and sparking accents brings the space to a very relaxed life.
