Greek cuisine is famous as it is. Best food would be the moussaka or the stuffed grape leaves in the summer. Weirdest food would be the kokoretsi which is the inner organs of a lamb wrapped with intestines and cooked on a spit for hours.. delicious! Local food to try would be the gyro sandwiches ( they are so much better in Greece)

Ouzo or Greek wine
How is breakfast served in your country?
Usually in a buffet style. Mostly sweet stuff but also with some savory notes
The best festival to attend?
We don’t really have festivals but the Easter celebrations are something all visitors should see
Which sport are you guys crazy about?
Soccer and basketball
What is the craziest thing to do in your country?
Nothing is crazy even for Greeks
What excursions and/or activities do you extremely suggest that visitors MUST do?
Visit the Parthenon and the palace at Mikines. You have to visit at least one island and don’t limit yourselves to the touristy ones.
Are there any local customs a visitor should be sensitive to?
Not really…. There is no dress code or anything weird. Just be respectful of others
What is/are the most surreal places/landmarks to visit?
The Meteora. Huge cliff sides where monasteries are attached to their sides.
Can you name a place that most people have not heard of? A secret spot perhaps!
Greece is very touristy so most of it has been discovered. But little islands like Anafi,Psara or Folegandros are still pretty pure .
Where can visitors find the best beach?
The most famous Beach is the Navagio beach in the island of Zakinthos but Greece has millions of beautiful beaches
If I’m staying for less than a week, which city should I choose?
Definitely Athens! The capital of Greece and full of archeological sites to visit. It is a city that is older than 3000 years old! It is also surrounded by beautiful beaches.

At least 10 days. If you are traveling from afar then at least 2 weeks because of the jet lag factor
When is the best time to visit?
April through October if you want to visit the islands, but any time of the year is good. There are always things to see or do !

Greece has approximately 2000 islands but only 170 of them are populated.
What is your country’s most popular stereotype/cliché?
That Greeks are loud!.. well, yes, we are!
Are you a traveler? Which place is your favorite so far?
The island of Andros! Half of it is green with running waters and the other half dry almost like a dessert!

Too many to write. Every trip is an adventure primarily because of all the interesting people you meet!

I love to travel because of the experience! The people you meet, the cultures that you get to know, the food that you get to taste… and after all that you see that we are all different yet so similar!
